<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">What am I talking about? I am talking about this ofc:

DemonHuntards are coming!

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Reason is that when I am thinking forward and about Legion in terms of what to play, I am STILL IN THE BOX considering what to main. There are so many changes to MistWeavers I am not sure I will still main it in Legion.
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I have tested it on Alpha and it seem ok enough <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(now, but things can and will ofc change till everything is live)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">, but they remove core abilities <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(Imo)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> like Nimble Brew <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(get out of stuns etc)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">, Spear Hand Strike <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(interupt)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">, Fortifying Brew <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(increasing your health by 20%)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> and Expel Harm <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(selfhealing)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">. Not to mention fistweaving is gone.. I don't use FW much in raids, sometimes at the start of the fight only, but I use it a lot when we run dungeons. So def. going to miss it. <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Other changes are that Mana Tea and The Statue will become talents... :-/ Mana Tea will change, and give you cheaper/free casts when its up (10 sec? Iirc), so def. not the same. Now I will have to worry about mana like every other healer! Whats up with that!? ;p
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Ofc, me being me and never pugging ANYTHING, I have not tried to do any dungeons or so yet, (plz Blizzard, give Alpha to my man Rel (@RelWoW) so he can TANK for me and be my partner in crime! Kktybb! ;) <3) so I don't know how that play out. But I<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> suspect I will get the same feeling for Sansari as I had for Class and disc going into WoD: My bars was "empty", so much was removed <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">(I still do not feel comfortable healing as disc)<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">. <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">After maining shaman big parts of 2 expansions (WoLK and Cata) it is something I really can see myself playing, but giving up the monk feels a bit ugh too. <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">

And I keep telling people that they have to play what they find fun, and I know that also should count for myself. It's just.. one of those expansions again. I had the same issues before MoP. Then I was asked if I would main a monk -so I agreed to it, but during SoO I changed back to my disc priest and have rocked her big parts of WoD, before I was -again- asked to go monk due to surplus of priest healers.
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">
That is also part of why I am considering going to shaman, as I have never had that ...feel... with the monk as I have had with other classes. I don't understand them intuitively as I have done with in example priests and shamans. So it involves a lot of reading and doing things that are said because "that is how you do it" that I would never have understood on my own. That said, I have enjoyed -and still do- playing it in raid settings. For dungeons I have not really been a fan of monks, ever. :P I do them, but prefer to go on my shaman, druid or priest..

My first 10 Achivementpoints :D

I have a thing about "starting fresh" on new realms, I really like the whole "struggle" with no money, bags, glyphs etc, and work myself up from nothing. However, when I do that (on the EU side) I have access to things that make my life easier, like heirlooms, fully leveled pets and heirloom mount from lvl 1 (love that part btw Blizz <3), so it is not really starting fresh.

Lately I have lacked inspiration, so a couple of weeks ago I started an account on the US realms. After a lot of fuss and confusion and "how do I actually DO this??" (thanks goes out to Rel for mental and practical support :D) I finally could start a character -guess 3 times what race and class I picked ;p.

And talk about starting fresh. I had NOTHING. No achivements, no heirlooms, no mounts or pets. Or that is not true. I had the pets that are account bound (blizzcon pets etc) and the 1 mount from winning some matches in Heartstone, but was also it. 1 mount and 4 pets. But, I dont need more then 1 mount, lucky me it is a flying mount too (once I get there!). :D

My own little bodyguard^^

So basically, I'm starting fresh. The only thing I have is my knowledge of the game, and the character(s). Everything else is wiped clean. Terrifying and exciting, both at once! :D

If you follow me on Twitter, you have probably seen some screenshots from my journey, I am very excited and happy about this. Only backdraw is that there is the 6 hour time difference from servertime and my RL time. Aka when I log on in the morning it is middle of the night realm time, my afternoon is mid-day over there, so I haven't really been online much in the "coretime" of the rest of the realm. Which is fine really, less people around and no queues (I picked one of the most busy realms on US side: Zul'jin). Zolvolt was nice enough to accept me into his guild, Exiled Legion (@zolmation on twitter) Backdraw is that ofc I dont really get to know the folks in the guild much because of the time difference.

However I am fine with that since I do enjoy just doing "my thing". :) I have never been the "lets group up and quests together" type of person, I like to fiddle around on my own. Me and my bf have tried to level together a few times, but we both get distracted on each our end ("oh look! A mine/herb!" /strolls off :D) so we stopped doing that.

My favorite quest! <3

Also, I have all these plans for my "second start", maybe someone find them recognizable:

- If I start a zone, I will fully explore it AND get the quest-achievement for that zone.
- When capturing pets, try to only collect green/blue pets (if I capture a grey/white one, I will try to find a green/blue, and then I release the lesser one).
-having gathering professions while leveling to get money, later will change it to 1 gathering 1 production profession. What will depend on what AH can offer / cant offer. So far it looks like inscription will be the smart choice. Im over lvl 30 and still not found glyph of penance... GRR!

That is what the journey have brought me so far. At the moment I am in the Hinterlands, one of my favorite zones. Or, one of many. :) I am enjoying it a lot, just running around by myself, being happy over green upgrades to my gear :D I have not done any dungeons yet, I had originally planned to do that, but I chickened out. I really am a wuss when it comes to pugs. Even lower lvl ones :D

I can really recommend it, if you feel like having a new start and start from nothing. First leveles are hard but after that it becomes trivial again. And boy I was happy to have that Heartstead-mount in my bags when I (finally) dinged 20 :D

Like everything else in life, you have a certain responsibility to entertain yourself. There is a lot of content there, you just need to go out and do it. "Yes but I don't like to do that, I don't like to pet-battle / do archaeology / level alts / LFR is boring/heroics are boring" -take your pick. And ofc my favorite: "Omg I have to actually go out in the world and do things to get flying?! I HATE THIS." Excuse my French: then do something else then for the love of all that is holy! No-one is forcing you to do ANYTHING. If you don't like the game they made, fine, play a different game. And yes, the game changes. And yes, it is good. I played the game in Vanilla and believe me, it was NOT better. Running everywhere till you were lvl 40, and then you got a SLOW mount. If you could afford it, that is...
Sometimes I feel that the more Blizzard is doing to keep people happy, the more complaints they get. Yes sure, sometimes things dont play out the way they had planned (pretty sure Blizzard didnt think everyone would just sit in their Garrison all day) but that is how it is. Now they have tried to fix that with adding new stuff. Yes its dailys, and I am the first to admit that the first days I felt overwhelmed with the time it took to do them. Now, a week out in the new stuff and I have my head wrapped around it and its done (if I want) in a lot shorter time then first round. I can choose: do I only want to do the dailys, or do I want to get extra apexis and do all/most of the bonus events too?

The things that have happen the last month or so have gotten me thinking (never a bad thing -or is it...? ) about a lot of things.

When guilds break or somehow don't work out, it give you a sort of sadness much like when a personal relationship with someone you love comes to an end. When it is going on you are filled with contradicting emotions; anger for how it ended, sadness for what you lost, happiness for the good things you had together. Specially when the ending was not of your choosing.

Being on your own is not as fun or interesting as you maybe thought (not that I thought it, but if you are the leaver you might believe it will be awesome and find out that it really is not), and finding someone else to fill those holes left is not done in a hurry either. Or if you do, maybe you jump into it for all the wrong reasons. Loneliness, the wish to have fun with a team again, but find out that it is not the same kind of fun. Maybe this is specially for me, since I don't change raidteams very often. In fact over 10 years, I have been only in 5 (raiding) guilds counting my current one.

When I joined Nova back in February, I so nervous and full of anxiety for messing up or in some other way make a fool of myself. Nova was a big step up for me, progress-vise, but after some stressful weeks, I managed to calm myself down and find my spot in the team, and I felt like wow, this is actually a great team. A lot of nice personality's, and also got to raid with some old friends of mine, as well as getting new ones.

So the shock when one of the officers, a highly trusted one, "took off" with most of our dps'ers to "start fresh" on a new realm I was really shocked. I could not believe it. (And yes, I know they made an active choice to go and all that, but someone planted the seed in the first place)

This happend right before I was going a weeks holiday, we had just killed Thogar on Mythic and I thought the spirit of the guild was quite high.

So many dead, but also boss so! :D

Then it exploded. We were left with tanks and healers, but 8 dps was gone and Turalyon is a "small pond" with few "fish" in terms of recruitment. Some felt so betrayed, they decided "this is it" and stopped their subscription. Also the GM's. After giving up so much for the guild, and then have something like this happen to them, it was just the last drop. I can not blame any of the GM's/officers that put so much time into this and then being left like this.

You might say "that is the way of the game" and a lot of other crap, but it is not an excuse to treat people you have known for years as bad as this. I know it is the way of the game, people come and go, but if you are not happy, and it don't get better, you go to try to find somewhere to call home, but you don't destroy the guild on your way out.

Anyway. I decide to wait a few weeks to see what was going on, but with very few online that also felt very "meh" to use a very common "Class-word". After couple of weeks had passed and nothing new happend, other then the GM telling me to go look elsewhere because they would not try to paste the guild back together, I started looking around... In the end I decided to test out a different guild on a high-pop realm.

It is always strange to be on another realm, first time I have main-raided on a different realm. It is also a PVP-realm, which I am not too excited about xD It feels a bit like betraying Turalyon.

First raid was (sorry Matt :P) horrible in my eyes, and really made me regret the move. Decided that "OK, we can all have bad days/raids/whatever, and there are some nice folks there too, so lets see for a few more raids how it pans out". Tuesdays raid was already a lot better, tho comments like "we need more gear to do this" kinda makes me /roll eyes. :P Sure gear helps but all the gear in the world will not save you if you meet your fate with random trains (yes we are at Thogar Mythic)... Anyway. Fun and games ;p

If I don't not manage to fit in (never know with teams, how they work out and how I work out with them and so on), I think I will have a raiding break and just be a "dirty casual" like the rest of my friends atm. ;-) And I mean dirty casual in the best of ways! :D Hanging out, chilling, playing some lowbies or whateva'. :)

I am not sure what happend to our realm (connected realm even, Turalyon+Doomhammer= still very low populated :S), in the last month 3 of our top10 guilds have kneeled. All around Nova's progress-level. I know ofc that the subs are going down etc, but really.. Turalyon/Doomhammer now have lost 3 progress-guilds in a month, that is a lot IMO. And this was before the ban-wave even.

Ending this with a picture of the monk that I absolutely love, BUNNY EARS! Just to have something sweet to finish this post with ;D

As some might know, I have recently moved guild to Nova, residing on Turalyon EU. I do not change guilds often, so for me it is always a huge step to take, leaving old friends behind to find new friends and challenges. Thankfully I have good friends, and we stay in touch across guild-borders. :)

I have always considered myself as a skilled player, able to follow instructions (and bossmods ;-)), being well prepared and sharing my information with my fellow healers and guildies.

For my trial Nova they were starting on Kromog HC, and the goal after was Blast Furnace HC. The first trial raids I played quite well, IMO, read up on bossfights and came with suggestions and input on bosses per usual. We killed both bosses -with me on the selected group- and I felt included, even if I was not in the guild at the time. After two raid-nights, they wanted to give me an in-guild-trial. And this Tuesday, a week later, they decided to rank me as raider, making me extremely happy!

Last Wednesday raid, we were clearing up to Kromog and beyond, and WOW I died a lot. Trying to remember tactics for 10 bosses, while learning 30 new voices (ok, 25, since I knew a few from earlier :P) was hard! Didnt help that suddenly we were a much bigger group (30 people vs. 15-20 when learning Kromog and BF) then earlier either, so I felt pretty lost. Everyone knew each other, and I did not know anyone at all.

I have always loved the 10 man raid-format. It was just enough people for everyone's personality to shine through, but those times are gone. I have raided 25 man before tho, so it's mainly an adjustment issue. :)

But it have to be said, my play the first week of raiding in Nova can be easily covered by the meme under here.

Then it helps to have people to talk to, and /soothe my crazy mind. Like a friend in the guild said: I know you. I know you are good! Relax and it will be so much better! :)

Adjusting to the guild socially have gone very well, they are a nice bunch of people, it is a bit step up raiding-wise, more hours, but also very efficient. I like the drive, and the humor in raids.

Wednesday we killed up-to and inc. Iron Maidens on HC in just a few hours, leaving Blast Furnace and Blackhand still alive. Not bad for a few hours of raiding. All over I played better Wednesday then the first week, but Iron Maidens can just go die in a fire (yeah pun intended ;p)... For the rest I did ok, so I am hoping that slow and steady wins the race. That every day I get more confident, and trust myself again. :) I am -after all- pretty awesome! ;-)

I have spent the last days thinking how to change things around, and I think what I have to realize is that TPR-Class is a different person/player then Nova-Class. And I need to find out who Nova-Class is. I have to find my place in the group. I always have some adjustment-time for new guilds, and so it will be here too. Usually I land on my feet. I hope I figure her out soon, so my nerves can get a break, and I can relax a bit. And so my friends can have a break from me obsessing over this ;-)

At the end, a song I have been listening to a lot lately. :D
Both in game and out of game. I guess I should divide it into bulks.

Real life -up's and downs

The last year was a very special year. I think I have visited most hospitals in Oslo during the year, and now I hope I am done with that for a LONG TIME. That said, my gosh, nurses and doctors -you do a hell of job! I am very grateful for the warmth I have been met with during my stays!

It started out with a nice and innocent operation. Then I got an infection that would not go away. While being treated for the infection, I got blood clog (emboli) in my lounges that got into a critical phase -luckily it got discovered in time so they gave me emergency treatment that worked well, but the infections would not stop. Had to have a second surgery to fix wounds that would not grow, and more infections due to that I am most likely allergic /reacting to surgical threads.

Spent half a year getting rid of all the infections in my body and building up some energy (being ill constantly really drains your energy), and I was extremely happy when I was able to get back to work again. Only to start randomly faint "everywhere" -got blue lip from one crash and banged my head in the floor more then once. After 2 monitoring-sessions they finally caught one "live". Turns out my heart stops working for several seconds, making me faint. So I was suddenly finding myself in the hospital again. This time to get a pacemaker to help me so I don't faint again. So, now I am known to the guild as "Cyborg Class" :D

Most important, it works fine, have not fainted since I got it and it really makes me feel a lot more safe then before. I am just glad I don't drive a car, because if that had happened while driving it would not have ended well.

In-game / guild

In-game things have happened too! Our biggest achievement last year was to kill Garrosh on Heroic (old heroic, what now counts as mythic, but we killed him before it got changed). Wow, that felt amazing after spending SO MUCH TIME working on it. Bastard boss!

We also had some discussions in how to transform into a mythic guild without loosing ourself in the process, we watched a lot of guilds merge and was not sure that was for us, merging 2 progress-raiding-guilds, that could crash in terms of .. well everything (we are all set in our ways, admit it :P). We decided to take it easy, and not rush into anything just because Warlords was closing in, and we did get some recruits here and there.

Then this fall we had a request from another guild (they were not raiding at the time, but are known on server for skill and progress in past tiers) if they could join us.

It was a guild with ties to our guild already, several of them had been in our guild earlier plus some of our current raiders and members came from that guild, so we discussed it and decided to welcome them to the family. At first it was very strange for me, but I suspect also for the rest of the guild, new and old, to see 60 people online on a regular weekday, but the merge have gone very smooth IMO. We have gained a lot of new friends and raiders for both teams. Now I just need to remember who is who when speaking on Mumble -lot of new voices, all sound familiar but the "who was that again?" is still valid for me. But that will sort itself once we get to raid more on a regular basis :)

Priestling -from disc to holy

Another BIG thing that happened was that I went from "Disc FOR LIFE!!!" to "Holy heals all!" in terms of specs.

SHOCKING I KNOW!

I had my mind set on playing disc also this expansion, as I have done all expansions since.. well ..tBC. :)

I leveled as shadow (ofc), and then for the first instances I was all "ok, lets crack this thing up". And it was SO BLOODY HARD (insert random "ThatsWhatSheSaid-comment ;-)). I mean, I expected it, but I did not expect that it would be that hard and after failing an UBRS hc I wanted to go cry in a corner. Nothing of disc felt familiar anymore.

After sobbing a bit, I thought back on when Cataclysm was released, and I had exactly the same feeling for disc then as I had after these hcs, only that back then I refused to try holy, but rolled shaman instead (did I mention that I am old and set in my ways? And stubborn? No? Well, now you know! :D). This time I was like "I am going to try holy and see how that feels." Luckily I had kept up with my holy-playing via my priest in @welshjemz' horde guild (The Drafia! :D), so it was not all new to me.

And it was GLORIOUS! I mean, WOW, what a change. Suddenly I could do all those things I wished for and I was all "ok, Ill keep this spec for now and then go back to disc for raids" (since we did not have a disc priest but we did have another holy one). As raid-start creeped up on us, I realized more and more that I didnt want to go back to disc, not even for raids. Holy was SO fun and ofc all my gear that I got was holy oriented (stats-vise holy and disc clashes as usual. Grr) so I was disc for half a raid and then thought fuck this, Im going back to holy.

Then we got a set of applications, where 1 was a disc priest and I checked stats, gear and talents and it all looked very promising for me staying holy! They are now all on the progressteam and the disc priest is doing a very fine job, so I'm happy for both that she is very good at disc-priesting, but also very happy to be able to stay holy! :D

Progress and TPR

We did kill Kargath on heroic on the first night, but then we met the Butcher and he.. butchered us. :P So we did do a few normal clears to get some gear and are now working on heroic again. Last night we killed 6/7 on heroic, and got 2 tries of last one on heroic before it was raid end.

All in all, I think we have a good team, lot of nice folks, strong personalities -and very strong skill-vise so I think this will be a good expansion for us!

If you want to follow our progress, I will stream all progress-raids I attend. I will sometimes announce on Twitter when I'm firing up the stream, but not always (I am an old woman, and therefor forgetful :P)
I stream at Twitch.tv/priestclass :-)

Everyone I know was more then ready to do some orc-slaying, and having 60 people in guild online the first days -even with lag and random disconnects- say how excited everyone was! And more and more are coming back to the game, so we have a lot of new people and old people (original TPR-people from vanilla-TPR :D) in a lovely mix. Guild chat makes me very happy these days!

Also, before someone say "oh but garrison was bugged and the queuetimes was horrible" I KNOW THAT! :) And I'm not talking about that, I am talking about how freakingly awesome the game looks!

If you have been playing WoW through some expac's, you should know that Blizzard always under-estimate how popular they are, thus there will be lag, DC's, bugs and queues the first days! :D

But I will give them credit, they worked their ass of to fix things, constant rolling restarts, updated hardware to fit more people, and after a few days it is now working as intended. :)
Falling through the world

I took the whole amount of 4 days of work (Thursday-Tuesday, today is my last day *sob*), and I have enjoyed it immensely! My priest hit 100 on.. hmm was it Friday or was it Saturday. I am actually not sure :O *checks armory* 15th! That means Saturday indeed. :)

Final DING! I have been saying DING! in g.chat for every level from 90-100. Just because!

I was very happy to be 100, but lacked a few levels to join normals, so after being lucky with some random upgrades, first part of the ring-quest, and a couple of pvp-items later.. I was ready to hit heroics.

All priest-normal-group (for ring, yo!)! Except for the tank. Not intentionally but still very funny :D

And then it started to hurt...

Did my first heroics with a full melee group from the guild, and me as disc. Boy that hurt. A lot. They were good at CC'ing trash and all, but constant ticking dmg and me not having great gear + not much to cast "on the run"... It made me want to cry :< Had that Cata feeling all over again, and not in a good way :P (disc was really crap back then too :P) I mean, disc is viable as a spec if you either have good gear/group have good gear, or you can stand still and build up those shields.

On the move spells are Divine star (needs somewhat aiming), penance (long CD) and shields. Prayer of Mending: casttime, all normal heals: casttime. Lvl 100 spell: casttime.

So Monday, I re-enchanted my gear to +multistrike, went to priest trainer and said: make me holy, oh good priests! And they did.

And gosh, its like a new world! :O Suddenly my heals, HEALS for something. And I have my renew back <3 (yes I know as disc I should have hated it and all that, but I used it as disc aswell and I miss it in my spellbook when I'm disc :()

So, for now -for heroics at least- I am planing to stay holy. Maybe until they fix disc even. Not sure really. Disc really have its uses for raids, with the Clarity of Will-talent that gives disc another absorb-talent on top of the rest. And you can just put it on the whole raid. No restrictions on targets.

The holy version of it is very interesting for raids too, it replaces Prayer of Healing, and instead of healing the group it heals people around the target you are casting it on. I foresee "holy healing melee" in raids, inc. again just like when Circle of healing was introduced :D (I was one of two holy priests in raidgroup at the time and our job was always "heal melee" :P)

But at the moment I have taken the extra Prayer of Mending proc. for heroics since it makes more sense for heroics. :) The last talent for lvl 100 seems utterly useless. You get an instant heal, but your healing suffers for 10 sec after. And it stacks. I mean .. wtf?

Other things Ive been up to: not understanding Garrisons completly, but I have one, and IT IS GLORIOUS! :D I still don't know how to make followers help on profession-houses (I think they can at least, judging from g.chat discussions) but I'm sure I will understand it one day :P

My very own Stormwind! :D

I am not sure if it is an option now, and that I just dont know it (could very well be!) but I would love for my Garrison to have things like Auction House, Bank, Void Storage and (ofc!) Transmog-options!
Yes I am putting it out there! Gimme my bank, and transmogger plix. All propper citys like Class' Garrison (tm) needs it! :D

So that concludes my journey so far! I have taken some awesome pictures, so might probably will be more posts coming^^

I love my guild, I really do. It is full of awesome people, that care about each other and about the guild, and if you need help with something, usually asking in guild helps. We have all types of people in the guild, tho we are on the "mature side" (that's what we call old ;P) Most of the guildies are 30+ but we have a few younger as well -and older :) And it is a nice mix of progress-raiders, casual raiders and purely social members.

Many of us have been playing since the game came out in 2005, and some of us even raided together in the "old days" (Vanilla/tBC) before splitting ways pursuing different goals in the game. The later years we have found together again in this guild we had as our first raiding home (for me at least it was), because times change, life change, and priority's change. Whenever we get new members we do our best to make them feel as part of the "flock" -tho it helps if they are social creatures that are not afraid to hit /g.

Many have got family obligations and do not have time to raid 4-5 nights a week anymore, so the light raiding-schedule we have of 2 raid-nights per week fits perfect. That means we have less time to dick around (pardon my French^^), and when we are raiding we try to get the most out of it, while having fun in the process. I think we achieve that quiet well.

We do enjoy doing things together, like doing X amount of Headless Horseman runs to get the people in the group their rings. Or jump on mumble and talk rubbish while doing achievement runs in old instances. Or doing PvP together, while trolling /bg chat (Yes, im looking at you Shadrea! ;-)) and having fun. :D During this expansion we have had 3 guild-groups running Gold Challenge Modes, those have been really fun to do together! The biggest challenge there was to find a time that fitted all 5 in the group!

In addition to having 2 raidteams, we also have been running flex-runs (now called NORMALS ;P) on tuesdays, that are open to all guildies plus they have been cross-realm-raids with friends from Twitter. The bosses of these runs have been Shadrea and Rel (@iamchris and @reliqEU on twitter). We have a few regulars that come every week, and some that drop by from time to time, and its all fine. The giggle factor on Mumble is high, and the jokes so bad! :D

At work I sometimes have twitch-stream from former runs going in the background while working, and GOSH we laugh a lot. Specially me, or maybe that is because my voice sounds extremely loud compared to the others, since I'm the one streaming (+ I am loud :P). Like when we were working on HC Paragons, and the names Iyyokuk and Korven came up. Me and our Swedish lock (Erik) started giggling uncontrollably, when the others asked why, we had to explain that Korven means "the Sossage" in Swedish, and kuk means dick in Norwegian. So YoKuk (thats who they say it) suddenly became very awkward to say to another dude and Jade and Rel (our tanks) giggled whenever they tank-swapped "Can you taunt ... eh.. Needless to say, Blexis is very fond of Sipollo, since he is a "sure thing" for getting food!
That was all the motivation we needed, and the boss went down that very same week^^ He refused to farm a pink set tho, so I spent some time at the Auction House to find some pretty&pink mail pieces for him! Unfortunately, I was not there the raid where he used it but Shadrea took a nice little screenshot for me :D

I am feeling very talkative these days, in general about the game, so I decided to make a blogpost about my guild, to show them how much they mean to me. When I mentioned it in our ClassBox (our shoutbox is named after me, cos I'm ms. spam-a-lot^^) everyone got very excited and on Mumble tonight when I talked about things I have mentioned here, they were all bubbling over with suggestions to other things I should mention -so this feel like it is a guild project^^

So, patch 6.0 have arrived, with lot of changes to ... everything tbh. Characters, stats, gear, quests... (And I see that I need to update my blog with new picture of "Class 6.0": bad-ass draenei with T6-transmog!^^)

I have (as usual) not been reading up about all the (beta) changes because things change so quickly that something I read one day, is invalid the next. So I usually wait till things go live and then I read some and /poke friends and guildies (a special hello to Sipollo and Stilgar <3 ;-)) "what was this again?" and "where do I find that now?" :D Probably horribly annoying for them, but easy for me :P (yes, I am a bad person lol!) Tho, I do pay it forward, so whenever someone asks about help or have questions about things I try to help them too, so I think my Karma is intact all in all ;-)

I have some screenshots of the different versions of UI. One is from before 6.0 and one is right after stripping and one is how it looks atm.

First a RIP old disc-setup:
Yay, no addons and default blizzard UI (holds up sarcasm sign ;-))

And this is how my UI currently looks, after moving stuff around:
Soooo many empty spots :( On the plus side: hurray: I got silence-spell! :D And I see that I have some spells twice! That's not how it was intended :D

I tested out holy and disc a bit on early beta, and it made me want to cry back then. Disc had lost A LOT of talents/spells, while holy was pretty much intact (more or less). We did a dungeon and as disc I felt it was an impossible task, and swapping to holy made it a lot more bearable, even if I have not played holy for .. well a year or so?

So when the patch went live last week I was feeling rather unwell tbh. Dreading to log on, and also dreading to see the nerfbat on live, having the feeling from beta fresh in my mind. And it started "well" too; could not log in, got DC'ed when the loading bar hit 90% -and it kept on like this for hours. At the time I didnt mind much, because I had a insane day at work and was really tired, so when I DID get online, I did the Blasted Lands quests and logged off.

Sunday was the first real "test" of discipline healing, with raid and mythic and all that jazz. Found out that absorbs are still king, my dps is not the same (compared pre-patch) but the hps is still rocking. Helps ofc to have endless mana :P

I read on twitter many saying "only spam holy nova and you win", which put me off that spell already before trying it, haha. I have it on my bars obviously but only used it when it was useful, aka stacking up (so mainly Norushen, Sha of Pride and Thok).

Personally I am not sure what I think of Holy Nova yet.(It reminds me of old-times PvP, and how to destroy snake-traps from hunters and get rogues out from hiding :P) I used it a bit, but for healing up groups I still use my normal playstyle of Prayer of Healing, shields, flash heal. Think the only boss I really used it on was Thok, towards the "instant screeches" stacks. Maybe its "wrong" to not abuse such a strong spell, but I do like to play my priest "properly" (Imo :P) with all the tools in my healing kit. That means dps till wings, use wings when big dmg is inc, use shields when it drops of tanks -or a poor sucker of the dps get a blow to the head (^^) and need an emergency absorb so he/she wont die etc. Use penance on CD, either for hps or dps, and also try to keep Holy Fire usage on max. Also I am not used to having Holy Nova, so I think I need some time to adjust to it.

And I know as a disc I should not say this, but I miss renew. I used it whenever I was on the run (and as shadow it was my "heal when getting smacked by mobs"-heal). When I was running with the weapon on Garrosh heroic I kept it on the tank as often as I could, since it often procced DA due to my high crit at the time. And its just.... Renew is a priestspell! I know holy have it, and disc dont, which is ...odd imo. I know its an important tool for holy, but I dont see holy loosing their shields... :P (A bit sore? Yes. Does it show?! ;-))

The one thing I really hate tho, is the cast time they added on Prayer of Mending. Before patch I used it on CD, now its like "shall I spend X amount of sec to cast PoM or shall I use those sec to cast a Prayer of Healing instead? Usually PoH won, specially if it was (high) dmg going around. PoM was used when dmg was low and mainly on tanks. A real shame Imo. (Also, I love the bling! bling! bling! sound from PoM bouncing around! :D)

As talents go, I could not let go of Spirit shells, so I have that talented now. Since Twist of Fate now only is for healing, its not very interesting in the super-duper-ultra nerfed content of SoO, and knowing how to time SS -it is still king.

Other then that I have the same talents as before, more or less. I still swap between the lvl 90 talents depending on fight, tho, I havent really used Cascade yet, it probably is more handy in 20 man then in 10 man, so I need to test it before I can say how it feels. /puts Cascade on "check-list" for next raid. Also use Angelic Bulwark on most fights (except Siegecrafter hc and Paragons hc where you want Spectral Guise to drop sawblades and aims), still use roots over MC / fear, and Mindbender and feathers...

All in all, disc did not feel as nerfed as it did first time on beta, and I will still keep disc as main spec in WoD, but probably have holy as offspec. Depends a bit on the fights there, and if absorbs are still good then. I would think it is, but you never know :) But I think things will change when Warlords go live and all, but for now I'm sure I will stay discipline -but probably have holy OS if I see that as needed for new content. But hopefully disc will still be a valid spec also in the next expantion.

A cosmetic note: They have changed the way Halo looks, I must admit I liked better the visual of the old Halo, where you could see it spread nicely. Now its more like BOOM! And its gone. It looked prettier before! :)

I have probably forgot a lot of things that I wanted to mention here, as per usual.. :) Random thoughts are random! :D

The Godmother of Twitter (@AlternativeChat) have challenged gamers to answer "what is your Warcraft story" and I found it quite fun project. If you look here you can find out more!

Onward to the questions!

1. Why did you start playing Warcraft?

I actually started playing because my (now ex-) partner was very, very into it, and he had me try it out on his account. I was extremely skeptical, since I thought "this is not me" etc.

2. What was the first ever character you rolled?

I made a human rogue, and made her look as much alike me as possible. I checked out the other character models, but they felt strange and not "me" at the time. I also named my rogue after my computer at the time, Acer :D It is quite hilarious to think back at now ;-)

3. Which factors determined your faction choice in game?

I went for alliance, all this gaming being new to me, I wanted to look pretty, and also wanted a character that looked like a "real person" as much as possible. Horde scared me a bit, and there was also LoTR that gave horde a bad feel.

4. What has been your most memorable moment in Warcraft and why?

I have many of those, one thing I do remember very well is that my rogue got a quest to learn pick-pocketing, and I was very triggered by this, I did not want do it because "I was not that kind of person! Stealing from others!" haha Gosh, thinking back now it is all fun but back then, my gosh, it really bugged me! :D

5. What is your favourite aspect of the game and has this always been the case?

Raiding. I would never survive this long without serious challenges, having fun making jokes and killing hc bosses, that never gets old (well almost never! ;-)) for me. Been raiding since 2006 I believe, or maybe late 2005. Not sure actually. I still love it. Over the later years, I found out that healing is really my thing, and I have healed raids since tBC. Occasionally dps'ed but very rarely.
I also love alts. Always have. If someone tells me they only have one character and "want to focus on my main" Im a bit "eeeeh ok....I can still do that and lvl 10 other characters!" :D Plus, professions being covered! Win-win!

6. Do you have an area in game that you always return to?

Hmm .. I have areas where I'm all "yay I'm back here!" (like Westfall, Nagrand, Sholazar.. generally the green areas of WoW) but I don't actively seek them, mainly seek to the main capital of the time for my mains -alts can be more shattered, depending on what level they are at :)

7. How long have you /played and has that been continuous?

I think I started my sub in April 2005 or so, might have been May 2005. Never had a break. When I think about it, it sounds almost horrible, but I have had periods where I played less (raid-logging) but I have made lot of friends over the years, and usually I always have someone to chat to when online. Specially after Battle.net came with Real-ID and all.

8. Admit it: do you read quest text or not?

No, not really. ;P Unless I can't find the stuff I look for, and I have to read a bit closer. But generally, no...

9. Are there any regrets from your time in game?

Hmm... I have pretty much done what I have felt for when gaming. Sometimes I have felt that I have been sticking around too long in a bad team, but looking back now I feel that there was always a reason to stick with it, that be friends or loyalty..

10. What effect has Warcraft had on your life outside gaming?

I met my man here! Even moved abroad to check out how it would work out to see each other more then every 2nd weekend. And now we live together in my home-country. So I would say big impact on my everyday life!

I have been thinking about this post for a while, but not got around to writing it before now.

I live in Oslo, Norway, and I wanted to share this lovely city with you -and why I love it so much. :)

Barcode Oslo

First of all, it is not very big -according to statistics 623 966 lives in Oslo pr. 1. of january 2014. Big enough to be able to hide in tho, and to find new -and old- friends in.

I remember the first time I was in Oslo -I was terrified to get lost and not find my way (I grew up in a very small town on the west-coast), but over the years I have lived in different parts of the city, and explored most of the other parts, so I am not afraid of getting lost anymore ;-) Now I really enjoy walking around in parts of the city that I am not so familiar with, and I always find new favorite places. :)

The different parts of the city all have their charm. Since we live on the western part of the city I tend to go for walks mostly on the west-and northern part of Oslo, but lately I have also taken the tram/subway to other parts to get some variation. The public transport system here is very good, you do not need a car if you live in the city, not for work or for getting around to the different places in the city. Same if you are here for a visit. Just jump on a tram/subway/bus and it will take you there in no time.

The most used path I use for pure exercise is Sognsvann. It is a lake located at the north-west of Oslo, 15-20 min ride with the subway from downtown Oslo. I have posted some pictures from this place on twitter but here you go again:

This is taken from the "start" of the lake, sometime this spring. Sognsvann is used a lot all year long for walks, and during summer it is a popular place for the population of Oslo to go BBQ and relax, sunbath and of course take walks around the lake.

Here is a couple of more pictures, one from the end of the lake:

Sognsvann is a perfect place to go for a walk, but during the weekends it can be quite crowded, so those days I try to get out and around before noon, before it fills up with family's occupying the whole road. :) As nice as it is, it kinda hinders you to get any kind of speed up :D

If you take the subway up the mountain, you can exit at Holmenkollen and have a look at our skiing facility's for ski-jumping and cross-country skiing (we really love those winter-sports ;-)) This is a closeup of the ski-jump, during summer they have these activity's where you can slide down from the top till the end via a line. Some of the islands have people living on them during summer, others are only for day visits. It is a very popular place to visit during sunny days. I forgot to take pictures from it last time I was there tho, so boo. :( But here you can find more pictures of the different islands outside Oslo city in this link

You can also walk along Akerselva. It is the river that split the city in two (splits west/east). The last years they have upgraded the walking path there, so it is a very nice walk aswell. I took some pictures the other day when I was walking there. Here you see some of them:

Oslo have all the comforts of the city, but closeness to the forest and the sea as well, so it really have it all. :)

That lovely draenei in the picture is Filah, she is a restoration shaman and she was my main for 2 expansions. She was created back in tBC when alliance could have shamans (and horde got paladins), and I instantly liked her. She became my most favored alt and I even manged to get her into progressraids here and there because our guild only had 1 resto shaman at that point, Class was shadow-specced and back then there was no such thing as dual-specs. ;-)

When Lich King expansion came, I decided that I wanted my shaman to be my main, and parked Class away for a long time. At one point I got really fed up with raiding back then, and instead being a dramaqueen, I simply said "I'm sorry, I need a break" to the raidteam.

I decided to roll a horde character for the fun and laughs, since I had not really played horde before.
Someone I knew from my alliance guild was in a guild on hordeside, so I made an application there, and after some days I was invited to the guild. The guild was called "in Concordia", and was also on Turalyon server. This all happened when I was living in the Netherlands with my bf, I did that for a little over a year. And yes, I spent a lot of that time in Azeroth, being unemployed (was the plan all along, have a year off) I had lot of time for gaming and getting to know the hordeside more :)

In "iC" I first played shadow-priest as main, but swapped later to resto-shaman (named Ataia, aka Two-Toes for laughs on TS, she was "twoll mon" thus only have two toes! :D). We cleared ICC, unfortunately I was on holiday when they killed LK, after that kill we did quite some heroic modes before the raid-team collapsed (our maintank X-realmed on us among other things).

<-- This is Ataia, she is now on a different server (I needed the space on Turalyon), she is currently inactive in a guild on Magtheridon server. Its ok, the guild is inactive too, so no one misses me/her. :P

This picture also show what I meant about trolls and calling her "Two-toes" for fun^^

Anyway, I decided to go back to alliance side with some people that I got to know while playing horde, that also had alliance characters. So on Filah I finally got my first Lich King kill, short time before Cata was launched. Gosh, I was a happy cat that night! :D

Filah was still my main during Cataclysm, I applied to a 25-man progress-guild named "Wasted" and met some totally awesome folks there, that I still keep in touch with.
With Wasted I cleared raids while they were current and also did quite some heroicmodes, but when Dragon Soul hit the guild started loosing a lot of people, and many were not happy with current state of raids. At that time I had some issues with my shoulder that I had to do something about, and raiding 4 nights a week did not help at all, so when the team scaled down to 10 man, I stopped raiding with them.

Wasted is unfortunatly no longer active, it died at the end of Cata when -on top of everything- our GM completly vanished. I have talked with him since and got the whole story behind it, so there is no hard feelings -not that it was before either- it was just nice to hear what happened and that he was fine now. :)

I also want to share with you a kill video made from our other resto-shamans POV, when we killed Cho'gall (normal). I love this video, and the song is sooo perfect for that guild "Born to be Wasted" <3
I miss them sometimes, even if I am perfectly happy in my current guild. :)

(Ps! I am the shaman in the group further away)

In the end of Cata I had more and more contact with the "old guild" that I started raiding with all those years ago, "The Phoenix Reborn", I saw that a lot of people I knew from earlier days had come back to the guild because their lives did not work well with 4 nights a week raiding, and most guilds at the time were 4 raids a week-guilds. So I joined them for some achievement runs in DS 1 night a week, and I had a lot of fun! So I decided to say yes when I was asked to come back to "the team" for MoP. Only thing was, they had already 2 resto shamans, so the GM & RL asked me if I would consider rolling a monk for the team. So I did.

During MoP I leveled Filah up slowly. While questing I died a lot, even if I had a lot of DS heroic gear, and I was generally annoyed with her as elemental. So when my rage had calmed down, I decided to try out enhancement spec and things automatically went A LOT smoother (have no idea why but well :D) and she finally got to lvl 90. I started with the stone-collections, but hit the wall at the 6k Valor-capping, so I parked her for quite a long time. It was only the last few months or so that I started playing her again, mainly in Flex raids.

But! Last week Filah got her legendary cloak!! Hurray! I finally managed to find the energy to actually do all the LFRs that I had to do to get the items required. I felt like I had to get it for her, since our history goes back so long, and she is still my favorite alt.character. :)

I love this picture, its so great! I wish the cloaks looked like that^^Classhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01828159449082453550noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2007918517397376482.post-6994630387203030752014-06-16T15:14:00.003-07:002014-06-16T15:20:16.531-07:00Quiet timesHey all!

It's been quiet from my end lately, I have simply not been gaming that much now with summer here, and I am not that much in front of the computer these days. I log for raids mainly, and not much else.

I have been playing a little bit tho, I have lately joined my guilds flex runs that we have on tuesdays (contact @reliqEU or @iamchrim on twitter if you are in the EU and want to join us for some relaxed runs! :)), and I have come rather close with all the stone gathering on my shaman for the cloak! Today I got stone 11/12 so I have actually hopes to get my third cloak this expansion. Crazy, I know. :)

I have also been playing some WildStar the last weeks, not very much but when I are awake enough to play it I do (if I do it when I'm tired, I only get lost / die a lot / fall asleep on the keyboard / all of them at the same time), so I am still only low level on my Exiles-medic. She is currently lvl 16 if my memory do not fail me. :) I have also started a Slayer that is Domination ("hordeside" in WildStar), that is around lvl 10. It tend to go slower once I hit lvl 10 (I have various other lowbie characters).

WildStar is a very nice change, but I don't have the same drive / urge to play it as I had once with WoW (once = for many years), so I guess that is why I have not given it a lot of gametime. It is a bit "same-same, but different" if you understand what I mean. Also I find the professions a bit strange atm. Maybe its just me not having the energy and urge to re-learn a new game? I log it now and then for some quests but I get tired quickly from all the focus needed (for me) for playing it properly. Probably will be playing the game mostly together with my bf, since I'm a medic and he is an Esper -we are good team and can easy do team-quests together. :)

Not that it is hard to get groups for quests, not at all! Lot of chatter going on in the public channels so that is a very nice change from the abuse you get from tradechat/LFR-groups in WoW. People are very friendly and helpful and it helps that there is no "tag" on mobs. If you jump in on someone killing a pack of normal mobs, you get credit and loot from it too. A big plus imo, makes things go smooth. :)

I am horrible at taking screenshots, but I have taken a few of my girls. First one is of my medic, her name is Vanera and shes an Exile on the realm Lightspire.

After creating and playing with her for quite some levels, I realized that she looks a lot like Oliva's alter-ego in "Fringe" -if you don't know that series/character you should look it up. :D
Once I realized that it made me giggle a bit, have a bit of a fangirl crush on her -she is so cool and awesome in that series!

The next one is of Sans, shes my Domi-slayer on Archon realm:

I had a period where I died a LOT on my low level spellslinger due to quick respawns and all that crap, so I rage-quit, cleaned the house to get rid of all that negative energy I had in my body and then I decided that I would try a totally different character then what I normally pick (I tend to avoid melee-characters, simply because I am bad at it). Surprisingly enough, I really enjoy her! Might become a competitor to my medic, and that is scary for a healing-person like me! :D

Then again, the first character I made in WoW, that I leveled first to max level (60) and play a lot during vanilla WoW was actually a rogue. Maybe its a sign? :)

So if anyone asks me if they should buy WildStar, I'd say "sure, try it atleast!" or see if anyone on twitter have a guestpass.

I know a lot of WoW-ers have really fallen for it, specially since it is such a LONG TIME till Warlords of Draenor comes out, so maybe it is just me being an old hag and not being crazy excited about changes^^

I do have to admit I love the character-creation in WildStar tho :D That is the most fun so far! And they have all these cool/pretty/freaky/funky/great looks, styles and races. Worth to try just for that imo! :)

That is it for me for now, sorry if this comes off as a lot of random chatter, I am a bit tired but felt like giving an update on what's up here with me :)

Yes, druidS. I actually have a few, even if they have been very neglected in MoP.

My first druid was made many years ago, my bf told me about the greatness of druids (he's got the same love for druids that I have for priests), so I decided to make one.

Here are some pictures of her, she is my only druid at lvl 90 (atm!):

She have been my herb/skinner from day one, so shes pretty useful for an altoholic like myself :D I have currently started playing her again, as I seem to have wrapped my head (more) around "how to druid" and she don't die nearly as much on the Timeless Isle (or elsewhere) as before. :)

A while back I heard about "The Druid Guild" (aka "Druids of the Beast) from Rinike on Twitter, so I told my bf "that's the perfect guild for you, mr. druid". He was interested in the idea and Rin invited him to the guild. It seemed like he had fun when he was online there, so when I had a minor "burnout" period (progress-raids on Thok Heroic for weeks.. yuk. Could suck the life out of anyone I bet) I was looking for something to give me spirit back to gaming.

And for once making a priest did not solve the problem! (shocking, I know!)

So then I was like.. "should I try to make another druid?" and thought about the cool folks that I have met on twitter that was in the druid-guild and they were all "druids rock!". So I thought, being in an druid-only guild must help on motivation to level it. And boy did it! :D

I made my "perfect druid" (n.elf, green hair ;-)) and to my surprise my favorite name was actually free! Class -the druid edition- was born! I thought "this is a good sign!"

Around lvl 10 I got a whisper from the GM of said guild, asking if I was interested in joining a druid-only-guild. My reply was YES! Later she found out that I was on twitter, and that I knew folks in there already, so that was pretty funny. :) She just loved the name of my druid and thought it would be perfect in the guild :D

So once I caught up with Varesk (aka bf), we started doing instances and questing together. I must say it has been a blast so far! We started questing together around level 40 and now we are 65! My plan is to be MS restoration and OS sparkledruid (moonkin), so doing instances while we level really helps my healing-practice. Not that it is hard, but druid healing is pretty different from discipline priest healing! All the hots, keeping them rolling etc.

I also have a druid around lvl 69 to play when Varesk is not home/too tired etc. I moved her to the Druid-guild a few days ago, so she will grow up with all the druids around her^^ Not played her so much as the other druids lately, but she will get her share of lovin' too :)

But I enjoy the druids a lot! And the guild is awesome. I think people that play druids are a specially kind: friendly, helpful -and not to forget funny!Classhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01828159449082453550noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2007918517397376482.post-81480387547863091192014-04-14T02:39:00.001-07:002014-04-14T02:49:16.814-07:00My raiding UIAfter posting last nights killshot, I got complimented on my raiding UI, and asked about what addons I use. I got quite surprised by that, because I feel my UI is more of a "works perfect for me" but not what I would classify as a "pretty UI".

I made it myself, because no matter how pretty I think other UI's look (ElvUI and others) I can not use them in a stressful environment that is much of my raiding time. I suddenly find that I am lacking some critical (for me :P) information and then I get even more stressed and with stress comes rage. :P Yeah, I get pissed off if I cant see the information I want right away (Buffs, debuffs, my shields etc).

I use a lot more addons then I like to think, but I can give a short summary of the most important ones. :)

But first, screenshot from last night again:

I'll start with my bars. There I use Bartender4. "Bartender4 is a full ActionBar replacement mod. It provides you with all the features needed to fully customization most aspects of your action and related bars" as they say themselfs :-)
That means you can move/add/remove all the buttons and make them exactly how you like it. And what I really like is that you can make one standard one and save it -and then whenever you make a new character you can import that setting from Profiles and smack its perfectly setup, just the way you like it.

My raidframes is pretty simple: Its the default Blizzard UI. I just make the health boxes bigger, in the class colors etc. It works perfect for me, it shows me all the info I need to know, like who do I have shields on, or when our monk-tank goes into red stagger it shows as well, letting me know that he need some lovin' etc. It shows all debuffs that I can dispell and so on. I love it! :)

A true raider can not live without bossmods. In my case that is BigWigs. You also have a bossmod named DeadlyBossMods (DBM) but I have used BW for years so I'm stickin' with it. :-) There you can also adjust after what you need more information about. Like on Nazgrim heroic in SoO you need (as disc atleast) a timer/warning/notification when he is casting execute on the tank, so you can make sure the tank have a shield on him when it hits. Makes it much smoother. Or other things you need information about.

For information about when important spells are up, I use an addon called WeakAuras. There you can add spells that have a CD and that you want to know asap when is up. In my case that is things like Inner Focus, Spirit Shells and whatever lvl 90 talent I am using. I see that Halo shows on the screenshot, even if I am using Divine Star on that fight, but I have added all 3 lvl 90 spells on WA because I tend to swap a lot between them.

For damage/healing meter I use Skada. Its very handy, you can see how does how much dps/damage/hps, dispells etc etc. You can also customize it. Take me for example, I have poor eyesight (comes with age :P) so I need to have bigger types on the text but that is fine. It also shows things like death, and what killed people, which is useful at times.

I also use an addon named Prat which is a chat enhancement addon. Gives my chat nice colors, timestamp and you can open chat in a own window and copy text from it, and so on. Very nice little addon. :)

All the floating numbers are from MikScrollingBattleText -its an addon that makes it easier to see combat information.

I also use an addon called Castbars. It makes me able to move the casting bar of my character to anywhere I want on the screen -the default version dont work well with the rest of my UI so I use Castbars to move it where it is more useful.

And the last addon I will mention is Ingela's Rapture. Its a disc-priest spesific addon. It gives me a cooldown bar for the internal cooldown of Rapture. It is handy for handling your mana. You can read more about rapture here: Rapture

The questions:

1. What’s your favorite game?

I have to go with WoW, been playing it since april (iirc) 2005, so its been some years now! :)

2. How often do you game?

Most days, unless I am out of town/on holiday/etc. :)

3. Do you prefer to go to a party or game in the weekends?

I think a healthy mix is best, that said, I don't go to much partys in weekends. Usually the social happenings in my life happens during the week / after work :)

4. What is your dream job?

My dreamjob... Hm. I do enjoy my job a lot, but a dream job must be to work with animals I think, to take care of them in some way. Since I am very bad with blood and wounds, animal-nurse isnt for me but maybe have a farm with lot of animals on it. Yeah. I think that would have been awesome :)

5. Have you ever postponed cleaning to game instead?

Yes and no :) I have tried, but I just hate to game when the house looks like a mess. :P It need to be somewhat tidy before I can relax and play the game.

6. What is your favorite NPC?

I think Sylvanas is pretty great. And ofc Thrall. <3

7. Favorite thing to do on Timeless Isle?

Hmm. On the timeless isle, not been there for ages. I think it was to hunt those last rares I needed for the achievement :) Getting that last one was all "YEAH! Now I'm done with this isle!" :D

8. Do you play both factions, or only one? Why?

I play both. Started out as alliance, and played that for years. The later years I have been playing hordeside too, I enjoy the change of quests and stories. :)

9. If Blizzard announced that it would be no more World of Warcraft in the end of the month, what would you say?

"Whaaaat?!" I think covers it :D

I headed to Rin's blog and read about it there, but I think it sounds very cool -so thank you, "Ygritte" aka Rinike! :D

If you dont know what Liebster award is either, here is a quote from Rinike who quoted Neri who quoted Geekphoria :

“Well, it is only an AWESOME award given to up and coming bloggers. Given by other up and coming bloggers. It’s a cool way to find other blogs and feel like you are getting into the blogging stratosphere. It is simple, you get nominated by someone else, mention their page and a link to their blog in your Liebster Award Post, answer the 11 questions they give you, then tag 11 other nominees and give them a new set of 11 questions to answer.”

And here are her questions!

1. When and why you started blogging?

I started blogging very recently! I had considered it for some time, after Mr & Mrs WoW suggested it one day in guildchat, and after some thought I gave it a go. Still consider myself the biggest nub regarding blogging :)

2. If you would be stuck in an elevator and could pick any person (alive, dead or fiction) to be with you, who would it be?

Hmm.. hard question. Oh wait.. Jon Snow :D

3. What do you listen while playing?

That vary a bit. Most often I just have the ingame music, but I also tend to put on music from the Hobbit-movies quite often

4. What is your fandom (if any)?

I love the Diablo stories! If that count? :)

5. What colour is your toothbrush?

Its epic colored! :D

6. If you would have to choose, what animal you would be?

I struggle a bit on that one.. it stands between a dog and a cat. Cat because they are lazy and spoiled, dogs because they are so adorable and love you exactly the way you are :)

7. Would you rather go about your normal day naked or have smelly breath and body odor for the whole day?

If home all day and not going out: naked. I dislike smelly people, inc. myself! :D

8. What was your first computer/console game?

Super-Mario Bros. If that count? :) If not, then it is World of Warcraft

9. PC or console?

PC

10. What in-game (from any game) feature you would like to have in RL?

Easy one! Portals! :D

11. Are you casual or hardcore gamer?

I dont know, I see myself as a mix of the two, I raid pretty high level, but most of the week I am just casually leveling alts/playing other games and slacking.

I don't really have that many blogs that I follow, but I will challenge the ones I read regularly (taking Rinike of the list :)):

And my questions are as follows:

1. When and why did you start to blog?

2. What are you looking for in other peoples blogs?

3. Twitter or Facebook?

Under will I have listed the different priest I already have. I did not include the level 80 priest that I have on Tarren Mill because I simply refuse to level on a pvp server. :P

Already created and at various levels:
Human - Class (lvl 90)
N.elf - Zoss (lvl 90)
Undead - Vandela (lvl 90)
Worgen- Vanera ( lvl 88)
Blood Elf - Vanera (lvl 87 iirc)
Draenei - Coor (lvl 85)
Troll - Tsiia (lvl 83)
Gnome -Asusi (lvl 30)

Missing:
Dwarf
Goblin
Tauren
Pawnda

For the new priests, I will take professions that will help me level quicker, like herbalism and mining (gives xp-bonuses). And ofc it will boost my economy! :)

Also, yay managed to make a short blog post today! \o/ Classhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01828159449082453550noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2007918517397376482.post-81991501750917397202014-03-26T06:56:00.003-07:002014-03-26T08:14:57.972-07:00The first oneMy first priestling is the one I am (still) playing as main charcter - Class. She started out as a night elf and just recently (couple of weeks ago) got race-changed to human.

This is how she used to look when she was a night elf, proud in her Benediction and Tier 2 set:

And here is a shot of her as human, in the challengemode set (I love that set!):

I started a priest because when I was playing the game on my rogue (yes, I know, the first character I made was a ROGUE! :D) and wanted to do instances, getting healers was a royal pain in the ass, so I decided that I wanted to make one and see "how hard can this be?!" At first it was crazy hard, because someone said that "you don't need a healing spec to heal instances". So I healed them as shadow. Back then it was no "dual spec" but pricey spec-changes. And you did squat dps as a healer, so the healing spec was pretty useless for anything but instances and/or raids.

So, annoyed that it felt that hard to heal, I decided that I would "finish" questing on her and then change to healer-spec, to see if it was better to heal in that spec. Oh boy it was different!

And I fell in love -with healing... <3

That first instance as "disc" (aka spirit buff spec)... it was like a whole new world compared to healing as shadow, and after that Class stayed disc for doing instances. At that time I mained a mage in my guild, and I took Class to alt-runs that was organized on saturdays by the guild in cooperation with a few other guilds on the server. Quickly the officers of my guild saw the potential in me also as a healer, and I was asked to re-roll to priest as main (various reasons lead up to this question, I wont go into details here). After debating with myself, I decided to take them up on their offer and swapped main from mage to priest. Best decision ever!

During the expansions WoLK and Cataclysm I changed main to shaman as main character (also healer, + raided both on horde and alliance side) but I kept Class close as most favorite character still. I just needed to experience other classes in raiding and it was enjoyable to do something different. I still took Class to alt runs and such.

MoP came close, and I was planing to level Class first and re-take her as my main again. But I had recently rejoined my old guild from back when Class became my main so many years ago. The GM and raidleader at the time asked if I would consider leveling up a Mistweaver Monk for the raidteam. He know I can play multiple healingclasses, which I believe was one of the reasons for asking, another reason was that the team already had 2 priests and 2 (resto) shamans so adding one more of either was a bit overkill.

This made me re-think what to have as main in MoP, but after some consideration, I decided to take him up on his offer, and level up a monk and make it my main the coming expansion. After reading up on it, I got a bit in doubt -melee style is def. not my playstyle (I really suck at melee, like.. really really bad). When taking this up with the GM he said that if it didn't work out, I was free to go back to any char I wanted. That made it easier and I raided on the monk for all tiers up-to and inc. our first Garrosh kill. Maining a monk was fun, but I felt I played it the "wrong way" (never in melee, only at ranged casting) and I missed Class horribly.

I decided to take it up with the current raidteam leader, and he said "sure, lets swap you, its no problem. Just come on monk till you get some gear on the priest".

And the circle comes to an end. My first healing love, is now my main again. Closing in on 9 years with that gal. I think we are gonna grow old together... <3

Classhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01828159449082453550noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2007918517397376482.post-47383315931603394972014-03-24T00:56:00.000-07:002014-03-24T00:56:07.907-07:00The newest, craziest idea -this year...So, ever since I got ill this past January, I have put myself up to hairy goals to have something "to do" in game, so I wouldn't go mad from being home alone with the cat.

First goal was to get the white raptor from Isle of Giants, with involved farming of 9999 dinosaur-bones. And like that was not enough, I also decided to get the "Hero of Shattrath" achievement that I started on quite a lot of years ago but never completed.

A lot of bones and basilisk-eyes later, I have both. So I needed a new goal. Since I started working again -30% for now- I decided that the grinding period is over. If I never see a basilisk eye again, its too soon, to put it that way :P

So the last days I have been thinking about something different -not at all less time consuming, but its not the grinding feeling I had when killing all those basilisks in Terokkar forest.

So here goes - you will probably think that "that's it, she have lost her mind"... I have been thinking of leveling a priest for every available race. Yes, that is A LOT OF PRIESTS! I do -however- reserve the right to race-change the ones I have more then one of (yes yes, I partly lost my mind a while ago..) so I start out a tad better then having to level all.

That mean I have some already, but the ones I would have to do from scratch are: Goblin, Tauren, Dwarf and Panda. The others races I have in various levels around on different servers. Still, this is gonna take time. Good I absolutely love to level priests, eh? ^^

So, that's my crazy monday! Classhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01828159449082453550noreply@blogger.com0
